Weather: Estepona has optimum weather conditions, a soft microclimate during ten months a year and an annual mid-temperature of 18 degrees. The sea water mid temperature is also of about 18 degrees. The sun shines more than 325 days a year. The rain falls 40 days a year, being it sometimes torrential.
There are two main different kinds of wind in our coast. These are: east wind, known by this name because it comes from the east, from where the sun rises. This kind of wind warms the sea water as it brings the sea currents from the Mediterranean Sea. The other one is the so called west wind as it comes from the west, were the sun sets. This wind is warm as it comes from the Shahara desert and cools the sea water because of the sea currents from the Atlantic Ocean.
The temperature varies depending on the seasons: Spring 21 degrees, Summer 25 degrees, Autumn 16 degrees and Winter 14 degrees.
